The Central Jakarta administration has noted that monitoring on the eco-friendly shopping bags usage has been done in 300 locations since July 1-5.
It is compliance with the Gubernatorial Regulation (pergub) number 142/2019 on the mandatory use of eco-friendly shopping bags.
Walhi Jakarta Appreciates City for Implementing KBRL PolicyCentral Jakarta Economic and Development Assistant Bakwan Ferizan Ginting said those locations consisted of 6 traditional markets and 294 modern markets spread over Central Jakarta area.
"To do that, we have involved 76 officers," he expressed, Tuesday (7/7).
Based on the monitoring results, traders and shoppers had obeyed the pergub. To maximize it, officers also continued to intensify socialization.
"We always intensify socialization related to eco-friendly shopping bags usage," he said.
